The state’s financial agency has slipped up on tracking who can access state accounting and employee payroll information, according to the Connecticut Auditors of Public Accounts. The audit reported Monday that Core-CT‘s security is sketchy – ID badges and usernames still work for some former employees years after they left their jobs. The report also found that, among other problems, three of the four agencies in the department fail to run background checks on all new hires, and that Core-CT has no disaster recovery plan.
