The mortgage crisis continues in Connecticut as hundreds of houses across the state became part of the foreclosure process last week.
From Dec. 7 to Dec. 13 there were 405 petitions or Lis Pendens filed in Connecticut, according to data from The Warren Group.
Locally, the figures included 88 petitions or Lis Pendens in Hartford County and 17 in Middlesex County. The two hardest hit counties were Fairfield, with 118, and New Haven, with 120. The week also included 66 auctions for foreclosed homes.
