New Britain toolmaker Stanley Black & Decker has appointed Bill Beck as president of Tools & Outdoor. Beck is currently general manager and chief growth officer for the same division.
He will take up his new position on Oct. 1, the same day that new CEO Chris Nelson steps up from his current slot as chief operating officer.
Nelson is taking over from Donald Allan Jr., who has been CEO since 2022.
“Bill is an exceptional commercial leader who has already been instrumental in helping evolve our Tools & Outdoor division into a brand-led, market-back and data-driven business,” said Nelson.
Beck first joined Stanley in March 2024, before which he was chief marketing officer at Elevance Health. He also worked for almost a decade at Whirlpool Corp., overseeing the organization’s North American kitchen business and brand marketing.
In 2024, the Tools & Outdoor business generated an annual revenue of $13.4 billion.
