Stamford wrestling promoter WWE’s Middle East expansion is taking it to Egypt, where it will host its first live-action event in that country, authorities say.
The WWE World Tour will be held three nights from Oct. 18 through Oct. 20 at the Cairo Stadium Complex. With its debut in Egypt, WWE continues to expand the reach of its business, including live events in six new countries in 2012.
Last February, WWE held a WWE Raw event in Abu Dhabi that it says drew more than 16,000 fans to the International Tennis Complex within the Zayed Sports City.
Last year, WWE and Egyptian live events promoter, Creative Design brought WWE to Doha, Qatar.
