Stamford live-action and video entertainment promoter WWE has opened a sixth overseas office in Istanbul, Turkey.
Former Fox TV network executive Emre Mumcuoglu was named general manager of WWE Turkey to spearhead its expansion of live wrestling events and other marketing ventures throughout Turkey and Central Asia.
Prior to Fox Turkey, he held positions at Discovery Networks and Kanalturk, where he was instrumental in the launch of the channel.
WWE programming is broadcast in more than 145 countries and 30 languages and reaches more than 500 million homes worldwide. Its other overseas offices are in London, Mumbai, Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo.
