Stamford-based industrial manufacturer Crane Co. announced it has agreed to acquire the U.S. pump business of Trillium Flow Technologies for approximately $240 million.
The business makes pumps used primarily by municipal water and wastewater systems under the Floway, Wemco, Roto-Jet and WSP brands. It also provides repair, replacement and other services for installed equipment.
Crane said the business is expected to generate approximately $115 million in revenue in 2026. The purchase price represents about 14.6 times its projected adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization.
Crane said it also plans to incorporate the operation into its Process Flow Technologies segment.
The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter, subject to regulatory approval and other customary closing conditions. Trillium is backed by private equity firm First Reserve.
Crane manufactures components and equipment for the aerospace, defense, space and industrial markets. It employs approximately 8,300 people worldwide.
