Stamford Health, HSS opening new orthopedic unit Oct. 30

Stamford Health and Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) of New York City will officially open a new 40,000-square-foot orthopedic inpatient surgical unit on Oct. 30 that they announced earlier this year for Stamford Hospital.

The new unit, HSS Orthopedics at Stamford Health, occupies the entire fifth floor of the new 650,000-square-foot hospital, which opened last year at a cost of $450 million.

In February, Stamford Health and HSS announced their collaboration to expand inpatient and ambulatory orthopedic services for residents of Connecticut and New England.
