Stafford to host biz energy saving seminar

The town of Stafford will host a free workshop on the energy saving programs offered to businesses through Energize Connecticut from 5-7 p.m. on Sept. 25 at the Stafford Senior Center.

The workshop is designed to familiarize small business owners with programs and incentives to help with energy savings improvements.

One of the highlighted programs will be the Small Business Energy Advantage program, which starts with a free assessment to gauge possible energy savings at businesses.

Stafford signed the Clean Energy Communities pledge, a statewide initiative to promote efficiency and renewable energy. The town wants to reduce its municipal building energy consumption 20 percent by 2018.
