St. Vincent’s Medical Center has new VP of philanthropy

St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport announced that Karen Kaiser is the new vice president of philanthropy for Hartford HealthCare’s Fairfield region.

Kaiser most recently served as the senior director of development at Fairfield University, where she secured the largest unrestricted planned gift in the university’s history, according to an announcement.

Kaiser has also served as director of economic development for the town of Stratford. In that position, she oversaw the building, engineering, planning, zoning and economic development departments and managed budgets totalling more than $13 million.

Kaiser is also a partner and co-founder of Strategic Initiatives LLC, a consulting firm with clients that include Fordham University, the Diocese of Bridgeport, Union Community Health Center and New York Presbyterian Columbia Children’s Hospital.

Inbox Health names new chief revenue officer

New Haven-based Inbox Health, a medical billing company, has appointed Dan Simenc as its chief revenue officer. 

Simenc will lead sales, customer success, marketing, strategic partnerships and business development initiatives.

Blake Walker, CEO of Inbox Health, said Simenc will help extend the company’s business further into hospitals, physician groups and independent practices.

“With over 20 years in healthcare technology, finance and sales with an emphasis on patient engagement, he is an ideal addition to our Inbox Health team,” Walker said.

Simenc comes to Inbox Health from Solutionreach, a SaaS patient relationship management company, where he drove sales growth as chief revenue officer.
