Chad Wable, who has served as president and CEO at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury since 2008, has been named senior vice president and chief operating officer for parent Trinity Health Of New England and Dr. Steve Schneider has been named president of St. Mary’s.
The changes are effective Jan. 1.
Wable will be responsible for Trinity Health Of New England hospital operations in Hartford, Waterbury and Springfield, as well as various regional functions and information technology, according to an announcement today.
Under Wable’s tenure, St. Mary’s joined Trinity Health.
Schneider joined St. Mary’s in 2011 and has served as its chief medical officer and the president of Franklin Medical Group, St. Mary’s affiliated physician organization.
Meanwhile, Trinity Health Of New England continues to search for a new president and CEO to replace Chris Dadlez, who is stepping down at the end of the year.
