St. Joseph’s master’s in social work program receives full accreditation

The Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) Commission on Accreditation this month granted the University of St. Joseph Masters in Social Work (MSW) program initial full accreditation, the school said this week.

St. Joseph has had an undergraduate social work program (BSW) for more than 80 years. With the MSW program, the school said it has engaged in a new era of professional training.

MSW features include: a concentration in community-engaged clinical social work practice; specializations in health/mental health, veteran’s services, and children and families; courses delivered in a hybrid model that combines online work with weekly class meetings accommodate the schedules of adult learners and working students; and a variety of full- and part-time options for both traditional and those with a degree from an accredited BSW program.
