Phillip Y. Roland has been appointed chair of the Department Obstetrics and Gynecology and physician leader of the Women and Infants Service Line at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center.
In this new role, Roland will work alongside Laura Bailey, executive director, to oversee the service line which includes the Comprehensive Women’s Health Center, OB/GYN residency program, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Urogynecology, the 28-bed level III Dr. Hema DeSilva NeoNatal Intensive Care Unit, as well as Labor & Delivery and Maternity.
Roland joined St. Francis in 2009 and is also an assistant professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UConn’s School of Medicine.
