Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford has hired a New York City contractor to monitor all energy use of the 617-bed acute care facility.
New York City contractor utiliVisor will provide oversight for the hospital’s three steam boilers, four electric chillers, a steam absorption chiller, and a plate and frame heat exchanger. UtiliVisor estimates Saint Francis will save $200,000 by monitoring its energy usage.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
UtiliVisor plants on seeking $75,000 in incentives from the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund to pay for upgrades to the hospital’s facilities.
