SS&C’s Stone, Carlyle Group eyeing $201.5M from stock

Two of the biggest stockholders in SS&C Technologies Holdings Inc. could gross $201.5 million from selling parts of their stakes in the Windsor financial-software and services vendor.

SS&C said Thursday it priced at $26 apiece a secondary offering of 7.75 million shares from investment funds affiliated with major stockholders SS&C founder and Chairman William C. Stone and The Carlyle Group.

Once the sale closes Tuesday, SS&C said Carlyle will beneficially own approximately 18.85 percent of SS&C’s outstanding common; Stone’s beneficial stake will shrink to about 20.49 percent.

SS&C said it isn’t selling shares in this round, nor will it receive any of the proceeds from the latest offering.
