SS&C Technologies reports improved 4Q, 2015 earnings

Windsor’s SS&C Technologies Holdings said its fourth quarter and fiscal year 2015 profits were up, thanks in part to the company’s recent acquisition spree.

The financial services software provider said its fourth quarter profits increased 34.7 percent to $73.6 million, or 72 cents per share, compared to $54.7 million, or 62 cents per share, in the same quarter a year ago.

While annual income was up 23.3 percent, SS&C said its full-year profits totaled $253.6 million, or $2.66 per share, up from $205.8 million, or $2.36 per share, in 2014.

SS&C chairman and CEO Bill Stone said earnings improved through the company’s acquisition of Advent, DST Global, Primatics and Varden. It is in the midst of acquiring Citi Alternative Investor Services.
