Windsor Federal Savings will be the 2010 season box office sponsor for the SS&C SummerWind Performing Arts Center, a 5,000-seat outdoor performing arts center in Windsor’s Griffin Center business park. The 10-acre campus features a signature tent covering the stage and 1,500 luxury seats. A sloping lawn seats an additional 2,500 to 3,500 guests. Past performers at the center include Grammy Award-winning jazz and Americana legends Wynton Marsalis, Dave Brubeck, Bruce Hornsby, Roberta Flack, and Judy Collins. Many regional favorites, including Hartford Symphony Orchestra, also have performed at the center. SSCSPAC is one of the few debt-free nonprofits in the region. It is embarking on a $1.3 million capital campaign in advance of its 2010 summer season. The campaign has recently received a $500,000 leadership grant from William and Mary Stone.
