Windsor financial software provider SS&C Technologies Holdings Inc. said it’s gaining a bigger toehold in insurance-linked securities through the acquisition of a Bermuda company that provides services to offshore hedge funds and mutual funds.
Prime Management Ltd. has $6 billion in assets under administration, and services 25 managers in the insurance-linked securities market, according to SS&C. It has Bermuda and Canada offices.
Life insurers use insurance-linked securities to hedge risk and access capital from investors.
