Windsor software service provider SS&C Technologies Holdings, Inc. acquired background check software and clients from New York-based Teledata Communications, Inc.
The acquisition of the software suite adds 1,400 customers to SS&C’s client base, ranging from financial institutions to real-estate property management companies.
The software suite acquired from Teledata on Tuesday provides automated processing of background checks, employment screenings, tenant screenings and similar functions.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
SS&C secured a $200 million credit line on Dec. 19 that the company can use to acquire other businesses. The company is very aggressive about expansion and acquisitions, having acquired 26 companies in the past 10 years, according to the SS&C Web site.
