Tribune Publishing Co., which owns the Hartford Courant and a handful of other major dailies across the country, said it booked a $15.5 million profit in its first full quarter as an independent company.
Fiscal fourth quarter profits equated to 60 cents per diluted share, for Tribune Publishing, which began trading on Aug. 4. In the prior-year’s fourth quarter, Tribune’s media and publishing business were still one.
Revenue for the fourth quarter, ended Dec. 28, was $457.5 million.
