SPRING GALA RAISES RECORD AMOUNT

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford Spring Gala — this year themed Great Futures Start Here — raised $430,000 — the most ever. With about 600 people looking on, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford inducted the first four members of its Alumni Hall of Fame — State Sen. John Fonfara; former Hartford Fire Chief Charles A. Teale Sr.; James Healy and Joseph D. Lapenta. Also honored during the event at the Connecticut Convention Center was the Youth of the Year, Martha Olang. Pictured are, from left, Tara N.
