Flexible packaging manufacturer AMGRAPH said it has purchased two fuel cells that will generate all of the electricity and much of the heat its facility needs.
The company, located in the Baltic section of Sprague, installed PureCell System fuel cells.
AMGRAPH said the fuel cells will reduce its carbon dioxide emissions by 1,316 metric tons per year and its mono-nitrogen oxide emissions by 3.6 metric tons. They will also save more than 4.7 million gallons of water.
