Splash Car Wash acquires Westport business

Milford-based Splash Car Wash has acquired another business, this time the Westport Wash & Wax.

The acquisition comes just weeks after Splash took over Eco Car Wash, which has locations in Plattsburgh, New York, and Williston, Vermont.

Terms of the latest deal were not disclosed.

According to the company, it has been focused on expansion since partnering with Palladin Consumer Retail Partners in 2018.

Mark Curtis, CEO of Splash Car Wash Inc., said he is “excited” to have him join the team.

“Scott and Laila have been our friendly competitors in Connecticut for 20 years,” Curtis said in an announcement. “It will be great to have them join the Splash family and to take advantage of Scott’s construction and development expertise, especially as we accelerate our growth.”

Splash Car Wash launched in 1981, when Curtis and business partner Chris Fisher opened a single location in Greenwich. Today, it has grown to include operations in three states. In addition to car wash services, some facilities provide detailing, oil changes and laundry services.
