Spirit Airlines on Thursday launched its latest new route at Bradley International Airport — a nonstop flight to Detroit Metro Airport in Michigan.
The inaugural flight departed Bradley Thursday morning and will operate daily, according to the Connecticut Airport Authority.
In August, Spirit will also begin flying nonstop from Bradley to Nashville International Airport in Tennessee.
Both Nashville and Detroit will also allow passengers to make connections to other destinations within Spirit’s route network, the airline said.
Spirit already flies nonstop from Bradley to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
