Southern Connecticut State University has launched three online cannabis education and workforce development programs, which provide education and job-skills training for people interested in working in the state’s nascent cannabis industry.
The school offers three online, nine-week programs, including cannabis cultivation specialist, cannabis retail specialist and cannabis extraction and product development specialist.
The first cohort of 2025 classes begins Feb. 3, with registration open through Feb. 10.
The programs were developed in partnership with cannabis education provider Green Flower.
The state’s recreational cannabis market began January 2023.
