South Carolina-based food packaging manufacturer Novolex has acquired Flexo Converters USA Inc., a Meriden-based manufacturer that makes stock, custom and recycled paper bags and sacks.
The price of the acquisition was not disclosed.
Following the acquisition, Flexo products will be sold under the Novolex Duro Bag brand, Novolex said.Â
“The addition of Flexo products to the Novolex portfolio will enable Duro to support customer demand through Flexo’s production capacity,” Novolex said.
Novolex has seen increased demand for paper bags and shifts from customers, the company said.

In addition to Flexo Converters’ Meriden headquarters, it has a facility in Monroe, Ga.
