Bloomfield-based Kaman Corp. named John C. Sorensen senior vice president and treasurer, succeeding Russell H. Jones who retired on March 31.
His responsibilities will include oversight of the treasury department, banking relationships, capital market transactions and investment management administration of the company’s pension assets. Sorensen joins Kaman from Visant Corp. in New York.
“John brings with him over twenty years of experience in the finance and treasury functions,” Robert M. Garneau, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Kaman, said in a statement. “He possesses a wealth of capital markets knowledge and that familiarity will be extremely valuable to the company as we continue to implement our long-term growth. He and Patti Goldenberg, our assistant treasurer, will form a well rounded treasury team.”
