Crumbl Cookies, a viral sensation on TikTok with more than 5 million followers, and one of the nation’s fastest growing cookie companies, is setting up shop on Universal Drive in North Haven.
A grand opening is slated for July 15. Crumbl is located in the Dick’s Shopping Center at 411 Universal Dr., (Unit #209) North Haven.
Franchise owners/brothers Justin and Scott Cinnamon said they “are so excited” to bring their second Crumbl store to Connecticut. The brothers opened their first Crumbl franchise in Danbury, at 71 Newtown Rd. in May, and in addition to North Haven, they also plan to open a third franchise in Stamford by the end of the year.
Connecticut’s first Crumbl location opened last December at The Plaza at Buckland Hills in Manchester.
“We felt the population and area of North Haven, along with the busy retail area along Universal Drive, was an ideal spot to bring Crumbl Cookies,” said Justin Cinnamon.

The Cinnamon Brothers said what sets Crumbl apart from other cookie companies is the unique, rotating menu.
“We serve six gourmet cookies a week,” said Scott Cinnamon. “Our milk chocolate chip is always on the menu, but the other five cookies change weekly. We have over 200+ flavors that rotate, which provide customers a new and exciting menu each week. All of our cookies are made in-house in our open kitchen store which allows customers to see, smell and experience the process when they enter the store.”
Some of the smells wafting in the air at any given time range from brownie batter and peanut butter M&M cookies to confetti cake with pink vanilla cream cheese frosting and classic oatmeal cookies. Crumbl’s treats are available for takeout, delivery and curbside pickup. The cookies are packed in a signature oblong pink box.
Prior to delving into the sweet franchise business, Justin Cinnamon worked as a lawyer in New York and Scott Cinnamon was an elementary school principal in Kansas. Once they tried Crumbl cookies for the first time just about a year ago, they “fell in love with the product and the brand” and opted to take a leap into the life of cookie-making.
“After one bite, we knew we had to bring Crumbl Cookies to Connecticut so everyone in the area has a chance to enjoy these amazing cookies,” said Justin Cinnamon.
As far as their favorite flavors, the brothers said that’s a hard question to answer because they’re all so good.
“We have so many wonderful cookies, but some of our favorites are maple cinnamon roll, churro, peanut butter and jelly, snickers and of course our milk chocolate chip,” the brother said.

North Haven First Selectman Michael Freda is excited to welcome the Cinnamon brothers and Crumbl to town.
“One of my goals as CEO and economic development director is to bring in new and unique businesses that I know people will like,” Freda said. “I have heard that Crumbl is tremendously well-accepted wherever they go, and we love those types of endorsements. While I haven’t had a chance to try their cookies yet, I’m anxious to try their oatmeal cookies.”
Crumbl North Haven will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday. Visit them online at crumblcookies.com.
Crumbl Cookies was founded by cousins Jason McGowan and Sawyer Hemsley, who now serve as CEO and COO. Their first location opened in 2017 in Logan, Utah and only served fresh milk chocolate chip cookies for takeout and delivery. The brand has since grown to 500 stores in 46 states.
