Soft Tissue Regeneration Inc. has enrolled the first patient in its clinical trial for a scaffold that helps regenerate human tissue, the New Haven medical device maker announced.
The trial is testing the safety of the company’s L-C Ligament product, a synthetic bioresorbable scaffold designed to stabilize the knee after ACL reconstruction surgery.
Doctors implanted the scaffold in the patient in the Netherlands, Soft Tissue said.
When ramped up, the trial will include 15 males and females.
