The New England Air Museum received a $2,500 donation from the Rockville Bank Foundation to deliver the Museum’s SOAR for Science outreach program to students in the Vernon Public Schools. This is the third consecutive year that the bank’s foundation has contributed funding to the school program. The museum’s SOAR for Science program is entering its sixth year, currently serving 11 area school systems. The program helps to improve students’ technical knowledge in compliance with the Connecticut Mastery Test on science, as well as expose them to career opportunities in business and technology.
