Smoothie King, a purveyor of smoothies and health snacks says it plans to open five restaurants in the New Haven area.
The New Orleans company has more than 500 restaurants and said it plans to open 1,000 more in the next five years.
It did not disclose the five locations, but planning officials in Orange approved an application in September from Smoothie King to set up shop at 350 Boston Post Road, according to Orange Live.
