Glastonbury’s Smith Brothers Insurance Co. said it has acquired The McMahon Company Inc. in Rocky Hill.
It’s the fifth acquisition since 2010 for Smith Brothers, which has bought agencies in Waterford, Groton, Wethersfield, Southington and Chester.
Terms of the McMahon deal were not disclosed.
McMahon was founded in 1970 and will retain its name, six employees, and Church Street office.

The agency said it wanted to join Smith because it will allow it to offer clients a wider array of insurance options and advisory services for employee benefits and other financial products.
