Smart Girl of the Year

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford (BGCH) hosted a women’s luncheon to honor the SMART Girl of the year on Oct. 13 at the Pond House Café in West Hartford. Nearly 200 women gathered together to celebrate the work being done each day at BGCH Clubs throughout the city. Ladies in attendance enjoyed lunch with BGCH members participating in the SMART Girls program, a small-group program that uses a combination of informational and experiential learning activities to help female club members develop healthy attitudes and lifestyles, and heard why the clubs are vital to their lives.
