Small Farmington convenience store with gas pumps sells for $1.4M

A Glastonbury-based pair recently paid $1.4 million for a small convenience store with gas pumps on a little more than one-third of an acre in Farmington.

Rant Holding LLC – whose principals are Tahir and Noshaba Khan, of Glastonbury – bought 46 Farmington Ave. from Mystic Oil Co. Inc. in a sale recorded by Farmington on March 30. Mystic Oil’s principal is Peter Zelken, of Groton.

The property includes a 1,364-square-foot, vinyl-sided convenience store completed in 2007, as well as a covered pump island.

Mystic paid $850,000 for the property in 2012, according to assessing records.
