Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun have bounced back from a drop in slots revenue in March. Both Native American gaming facilities showed strong year-over-year increases for April.
Mohegan Sun reported April 2016 slots revenue of $50.9 million, up from $49.5 million in April 2015. Its handle of $620.1 million was up $35.5 million, a 6 percent increase compared to a $584.6 million handle a year ago.
Foxwoods Resort Casino has reported slot revenue of $40.7 million for the month of April 2016. That is up 5 percent compared to $38.7 million in April 2015. Its handle for the month, the amount bet on slots, was $496.3 million, up 2.1 percent from the $486.1 million wagered in the same month in 2015.
