Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Resort Casino posted slot-revenue increases in Connecticut for the month of September, the tribal casino operators reported Friday.
The revenue hadn’t been consistently up at both casinos year over year since March.
Foxwoods Resort Casino, which reversed months of decreases, posted 3.8 percent in gains, bringing in revenue of $38.6 million, compared with $37.2 million a year ago. The handle for the month was $477.2 million, up 3.3 percent from the $461.9 million wagered in the same month in 2015.
Mohegan Sun reported an increase of 3.2 percent, earning $49.3 million in revenue, compared with $47.7 million a year ago. Its handle for the month was $595.2 million, compared with $578.4 million a year ago, an increase of 2.8 percent.
Foxwoods’ contribution to the Connecticut Special Revenue Fund in September 2016 is $9.8 million; Mohegan Sun’s contribution amounts to $12.3 million.
