Simsbury’s Hop Meadow Country Club will debut Saturday its $1 million outdoor patio bar-dining space expansion.
The 2,578-square-foot addition is the golf club’s largest investment in 20 years, officials said. The cost includes new landscaping and outdoor furnishings, including 16-foot overhead space heaters to warm guests on cool days and nights.
Club President Joe Shiman said the new addition runs the entire length of the rear of the country club, offering scenic vistas. A kid’s room equipped with a TV and games was also added.
West Hartford architect Bret Bowin at UrFoRm LLC designed the addition and Simsbury’s Nelson Construction was the builder.
