Simsbury banker Martin J. Geitz has been elected chairman of the Connecticut Bankers Association.
Geitz was elected at the CBA’s Nov. 5 annual meeting and will serve a one-year term.
Geitz has been president and CEO of Simsbury Bank since 2004 and has 30 years of senior management experience, including a lengthy career with former Fleet Bank, now Bank of America. He also is CEO of Simsbury Bank’s parent, SBT Corp.
The CBA represents financial institutions in the state and serves as the industry’s capitol lobbyist in Hartford and Washington D.C.
