Simsbury Bank has made a $1,500 corporate sponsorship contribution to The Discovery Center, an award-winning diversity education not-for-profit founded in 1992 by actor/philanthropists Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward Newman. The Farmington center operates programs focused on students in grades 4 through 8. The bank’s sponsorship will support the Diversity Academy program, which is a curriculum of special courses provided at a variety of locations, including Westminster School, Harriet Beecher Stowe House and the New England Air Museum, for participating urban and suburban schools.
