Simsbury Bank & Trust is moving headquarters to bigger space a few blocks farther down from its current Hopmeadow Street address by late spring.
The bank will relocate to 22,300 square feet – roughly half the building — at 86 Hopmeadow, in Tower Business Park.
The new quarters are nearly 40 percent bigger than Simsbury Bank’s 12-year home at 760 Hopmeadow.
Bank CEO Martin J. Geitz said the new space should be sufficient to accommodate the bank’s expected level of growth over the next five years.
The move will occur in two stages due to the timing of space availability. In April, mortgage, consumer lending and deposit service teams will move. By late June, space will be available for executive, commercial banking, accounting and staff teams.
Mark Greenberg is landlord for the new home built in 1989.
CB Richard Ellis represented Greenberg in the lease.
R.M. Bradley Co. was the bank’s lease broker.
