An Enfield manufacturing company is looking to expand its warehouse on Pearson Way, nearly doubling the current size.
West Springfield-based Pearson-Enfield Development Company LLC, led by principal Thomas Henschon, is seeking an application for site plan modification for the Simpson Strong-Tie Co., which proposes to expand its warehouse on 11.7 acres at 7 Pearson Way and add 41,275 square feet to the existing 54,000 square feet that was built in 1998.
This expansion would add 15 to 18 new jobs to the existing crew of 18 that currently work at the industrial facility.
The project, if approved, will add seven truck docks and bring the overall warehouse size to more than 95,200 square feet.
Simpson Strong-Tie manufactures structural building components for residential and commercial buildings.
For 55 years, SST has distributed products throughout the U.S. and Internationally, with major clients like Home Depot and Lowe’s.
The Enfield facility distributes products throughout New England and parts of New York state.
The town wetlands commission approved this plan in April. The application will go before the Planning and Zoning Commission at the next meeting on May 11.
