Stratford-based Sikorsky Aerospace Services today announced it will open a service center in the United Arab Emirates to support charter and maintenance operations for its S-76 corporate helicopter, its first in the Middle East.
Sikorsky Aerospace’s planned Abu Dhabi service center at Bateen Airport will support Falcon Aviation Services, which in June agreed to take delivery of four S-76D aircraft, the latest version of the civilian helicopter.
Frank DiPasquale, Sikorsky Aerospace vice president of business development, said the Middle East is a rapidly growing market for the aftermarket sales and service unit of Sikorsky Aircraft.
