Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford says it signed a deal to modify Saudi Arabia’s fleet of Black Hawk military helicopters.
Terms of the deal and number of aircraft involved were not disclosed.
Sikorsky Aerospace Services will upgrade the Royal Saudi’s UH-60 helicopters from A versions to more modern L versions, to complement the newest L versions the government recently purchased.
Upgrades include new flight control computers, wiring harnesses, high-speed shafts and sealed lead-acid batteries.

Some work is already underway at Sikorsky facilities at Chase Field in Texas.
