SIKORSKY SPONSORS VETERANS DAY HOUSE OF HEROES BUILD DAY

A team of Sikorsky Aircraft volunteers, pictured in photo, recently spent an entire day repairing two homes for veterans living in Milford and Stratford as part of the company’s overall sponsorship of the Veterans Day House of Heroes Build Day.  The Sikorsky volunteers replaced weather stripping, installed a backyard fence, removed popcorn ceiling, replaced door locks and smoke detectors, provided indoor painting, replaced a hot water heater and plumbing, and removed a small tree.  In addition, Sikorsky presented a check for $10,000 to House of Heroes Connecticut as a further sign of the company’s support of veterans.
