Stratford helicopter manufacturer Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. honored one of its New England suppliers on Friday with its Gold Supplier Certification award.
Aurora Flight Sciences, with research operations in Cambridge, Mass., received the award for its Columbus, Miss. Facility. It is the 14th Sikorsky supplier to be honored with the award.
The Supply Management Council for Hartford-based United Technologies Corp. – Sikorsky’s parent company – gave Aurora the certification for never releasing a substandard product to Sikorsky, 100 percent on-time delivery for 12 months, its high commitment to lean program and a high customer satisfaction rating.
