Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. in Stratford has been awarded a $17.67 million addition to a previous contract to upgrade its existing presidential helicopters for use by President Obama, The Journal Inquirer reports.
The new deal exercises an option for fiscal 2011’s “VH-3D/VH-60N executive helicopter special progressive aircraft rework effort,” according to a Defense Department website listing.
All work will be performed in Stratford and is to be completed by September 2011, the listing says.
