Retina Group of New England, a two-physician practice based in Waterford, has joined national physician management services organization Retina Consultants of America, the company announced Friday.
With locations in Norwich, New London and Guilford, Retina Group of New England specializes in the treatment of eye disorders including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and retinal detachment repair. The practice is led by Dr. Nauman Chaudhry and Dr. Juner M. Colina-Biscotto.
“We believe our partnership with RCA will significantly enhance our access to cutting-edge and state-of-the-art clinical trials and other resources in delivering the highest quality of care to our patients,” Chaudhry said.
Joining RCA will also help the practice grow and give employees access to greater training resources, Chaudhry added.
Based in Texas, RCA networks 220 physicians in 20 states and offers practices “business expertise, resources and shared best practices,” according to a statement. The Waterford deal marks RCA’s 30th partnership.
