SHOES FOR HAITI

With debris and raw sewage covering portions of the earthquake-ravaged island of Haiti, its people are at risk for serious health issues without protective covering on their feet. When Sandy Jones, commercial loan administrator for Rockville Bank, learned of the great need for shoes, she jumped into action and rallied her co-workers to support a shoe drive in conjunction with Soles4Souls of Nashville, Tenn. Bank employees donated a total of 181 pairs of new and gently used sneakers, shoes, and sandals to the cause.
