Hartford law firm Shipman & Goodwin ranks near the top among the nation’s law firms with the highest concentration of female partners, according to Law 360 magazine.
Shipman & Goodwin was No. 6 on the magazine’s latest ranking of 100 law firms with 29.7 percent of its partners listed as female.
Other law firms with Connecticut offices that made the top 100 ranking include: No. 4 Littler Mendelson in New Haven, 30.6 percent; No. 8 Verrill Dana, a Maine firm with an office in Hartford, 28.3 percent; No. 20 Epstein Becker & Green in Stamford, 25.2 percent; No. 28 Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker in Stamford, 23.3 percent; and No. 68 McCarter & English in Hartford and Stamford, 20.9 percent.
In September and October 2009, Law360 surveyed law firms with 100 or more lawyers and select boutique firms in the U.S. to find out the number of female partners working in each firm.
