Shipman & Goodwin LLP partner Brian Clemow has been named one of the top 20 traditional labor and employment attorneys in 2014 by Lawdragon and Human Resource Executive. This is the fourth consecutive year Clemow has been recognized as a leading employment attorney by Lawdragon’s Guide to World Class Employment Lawyers.

QU professor gets second Fulbright Scholarship
Farid Sadrieh, associate international business professor at Quinnipiac University, has won his second Fulbright Scholarship.
As a result, Sadrieh will spend the coming academic year in Burkina Faso, Africa where he will study the feasibility of shea butter exports.
He studied the apparel industry in Madagascar during his previous 2008 Fulbright Scholarship program, which is administered by the U.S. Department of State.
Ridgeline Financial Partners associate named top financial advisor
Avon’s Ridgeline Financial Partners said its managing partner Matthew R. Carbray was recognized as a top advisor by Fusion Advisor Network. The distinction is based on annual production among the 250 advisors in the Fusion Advisor Network, which is a membership-based organization within NFP Advisor Services. The accolade is awarded to fewer than 15 percent of the Fusion Advisor Network advisors nationwide.
Carbray provides financial planning services for closely-held business owners, executives of publicly-traded companies, and families interested in creating, preserving, and effectively transferring wealth.
Bristol Hospital administrative fellow receives award
Sarah B. Jeffrey, an administrative fellow at Bristol Hospital, received the Early Career Healthcare Executive Regent’s Award from the Connecticut Association of Healthcare Executives.
The award recognizes Jeffrey’s contributions toward the advancement of healthcare management excellence. Jeffrey joined Bristol Hospital in January where she has been learning about hospital operations working closely with the hostpial’s executive leadership group on numerous special projects.
Comcast manager named volunteer of the year by West Hartford Chamber
Stephanie Bedard, marketing manager for Berlin-based Comcast Business, was recently honored as Volunteer of the Year by the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce for her support of the organization. Bedard is a new member of the chamber’s board of directors and serves on several committees.
