Sheryl McQuade is Berkshire’s Hfd.-Sp’field chief

Massachusetts lender Berkshire Bank named veteran Connecticut banker Sheryl L. McQuade to oversee its commercial Hartford-Springfield market.

As senior vice president, the 25-year banking industry vet will assume leadership of Berkshire’s regional lending teams and work with the bank’s business customers. She will also work to expand and establish customer relationships throughout all lines of business including lending, depository, insurance and wealth management.

Based in Pittsfield, Mass., Berkshire Bank recently entered the Connecticut market with its acquisition of Hartford’s Connecticut Bank & Trust Co.

Previously, McQuade spent most of her lending career with Bank of America, serving in various areas of commercial banking including business banking and middle market.

McQuade holds an MBA from Western New England University and B.S. in finance from Lehigh University.

She serves on the board of the Greater Hartford YMCA, Hartford Economic Development Corp., Westmass Area Development Corp., and is a past director of Common Capital.

She also volunteers with Junior Achievement, the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, and the American Cancer Society.

McQuade resides in Wilbraham, Mass., but will be relocating to Connecticut.
